HISTORY

The Association of Filipino American Accountants( AFAA) was founded in 1987. The founding members were Nick Dadia, Conrad Cruz, Rey Padilla and Tom Jimenez. In the same year the AFAA joined the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA). The organization became the leading professional organization in the Asian American community. Most of the members are successful practitioners and/or hold prestigious positions in industry and government enterprises.

The past presidents of AFAA were Nick Dadia, Rey Padilla, and Lolit Gilberg. Each of them held office in the early formation of the organization until it attained stability. They were also involved actively in the NCPACA. Rey Padilla is currently the President of the NCPACA.

The Current President of AFAA is Nora Galleros, the first Woman partner of Watson & Rice.  The New Jersey chapter was created and spun off the NY chapter on August 2001.  Click here for NJ Chapter officers.
