Kim Vigilia was born in Quezon City on September 25, 1982. She
was only two years old when her family migrated to New York
City. Her mother, a former UP faculty member now lectures at a
city college and her father works at a law firm. Love of art
runs in the family and Kim went to LaGuardia High School of Art,
which culminated in an exhibit of her paintings and other
artwork. Kim attended Boston University and graduated in May
2004 with her Bachelor's Degree in Communication/Advertising.
She now works as a Beauty and Fashion Marketing/Sales Assistant
for a women's magazine. Kim also works with a local rock band,
helping with management and creating graphic designs. Her goal
is to work in the music industry, working in A & R, promotions
and events, before going on to Graduate school. She can also
write poetry and fiction, has done! a lot of traveling and
participates in various volunteer work helping kids and the
fight against breast cancer. She and her sisters plan to create
a non-profit foundation that would benefit the poor children in
the Philippines. She can still speak Tagalog and would love to
learn more about her country and her culture.
